Terry Marie
Terry was born and raised in northern New Jersey. She has been passionate about art and the creative process since she was a child. She contributed art and poetry to school anthologies and tried her hand at theater. She moved to Berkeley, California as a teen and finished high school, and then attended the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, CA. She painted a plethora of abstract oil paintings and crafted many stained glass pieces and other handmade crafts.
She returned to New Jersey after starting a family. She returned to college and finished an associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees while raising a family, working, and maintaining a home. She has worked as a healthcare professional and professor since 1986. She now lives on the Jersey Shore. She continued to paint and craft throughout the years. The beach and ocean inspire much of her work. Art is part of her being.
While working in Rwanda, Africa, she was commissioned to paint several murals in the Library of the University of Rwanda, Kigali campus. She has run art and craft classes for adults, children, and teens throughout the years. Recently, she returned to college once again to finish a degree in Fine Arts.
